I am wholeheartedly thankful to the people in Australia, Africa and here in America who have taken their time to share their cultures with me. I know that they have entrusted me with much hard-won wisdom and it is my responsibility to present what I have been taught with utmost respect. In particular I owe a great deal to Yidaki Master Djalu Gurruwiwi, my drum teachers Maputo Mensah, Nii Armah Sowah, Fred Jordan and my dear friend in Ghana, Abdul Aziz.
I hate to have to say things like this but please don't steal any pictures from this site without my permission. I signed a promise to the Yothu Yindi Foundation not to use any of the pictures from the Garma Festival for anything other than personal use. I share them with you so that you can get an idea what it is like. All of the pictures, graphics and design are solely my own. I know you would feel the same if someone took them from you. This does not mean that I am not a generous person. Just ask.
If you have any questions or comments please let me know.
